The road to sustainability may be complex but at Ascent, we are constantly working towards a long-term goal with our suppliers to meet the needs of economic growth at its current speed with the least amount of impact on the environment. Here are some of the ways we’re making an impact:
Waste Management
A comprehensive audit of the types and quantities of waste generated is done at regular intervals. This helps us in identifying areas where waste can be minimized or recycled. Adopting the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle is helping us lead to substantial improvements.
Energy Efficiency
By implementing energy-efficient practices, we are significantly lowering our carbon footprint, contributing to the global effort against climate change. This includes measures such as upgrading to LED lighting, optimizing heating and cooling systems, and investing in energy-efficient machinery and appliances
Environment Education and Training
We have integrated environmental education programs to empower our employees with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions that positively impact the planet. Training sessions on waste reduction, energy conservation and sustainable practices are a part of our system.
Circular Economy
We aim to help our suppliers in adopting a circular economy to enhance sustainability credentials, improve resilience against resource scarcity, and build stronger relationships with environmentally conscious consumers.
We follow EUDR guidelines and have a team who actively trace the origin of the products to ensure that they are ethically sourced.
